Remnants of a Journey

Lucy was unaware of the full severity of her father Fredy’s illness and was called home just before he passed. She missed seeing his regression from a man who could speak and engage with the world, to someone who had lost nearly all his functions including speaking.

 

Her mother explained that Fredy often thought he was in familiar, meaningful places from the past rather than in the hospital which to Lucy was a sign of how memory and experience define our perception of life.

 

This inspired her to create a film exploring which moments truly endure and why certain experiences leave a lasting mark, both in Fredy’s life and in all of ours.
